| For many years we lived SW of Denver, and "going to
National
Western Stock Show" easily became an annual family tradition. Lo and behold, in January 2000, just as we were making plans to re-locate elsewhere in Colorado, there at NWSS were 'Mini-Herefords'! Well, now, after years of "kids and horses" wouldn't that be fun and different?! On second thought, let's just go upstairs and buy that Wayne Baize painting "Frosty Morn"; which we did. Cutest little critter and house-broke to boot! Surely this would suffice for "I want some Minis" idea, right? Wrong!! Looked at that picture every day for a year....... January 2001 we made a bee-line to the Mini Herefords again, purchased our first three heifers and the rest is history. Due to our limited acreage here, the original plan then became to eventually increase the herd to just 5 or 6 or so., and sell off any future offspring thereafter. Simple plan....... easier said than done but we're getting there! We have finally reached the "stock for sale" part. We ourselves have really come to enjoy and appreciate top-of-the-line conformation, super dispositions and unique personalities.
